Registration for the 4-H Summer Enrichment Camps under is now open, with the first set of camps beginning on June 2. The camps 鈥 20 in total 鈥 cover a range of subjects from science, technology, and math to agriculture, nature, art, and home economics.

鈥淭here is something for everyone this summer,鈥 said Dareon Rios, an extension agent with the 4-H Youth Development Program. 鈥淲e鈥檙e also excited to be offering some new options this year, including several camps related to math, coding, and game development, and others focused on functional fitness, food dehydration, and sewing.鈥

Children ages 6鈥10 can choose from eight different half-day camps, morning or afternoon, and children ages 11鈥14 have a choice of 10 different half-day or full-day camps. High schoolers ages 15鈥18 can also partake in some summer fun at a two-week 鈥淩eef Futures鈥 camp focused on sustainable fishing.

All of the camps will be instructed by UOG subject-matter experts who will deliver university-modeled curriculum with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning.

  • June 30鈥揓uly 3: Kids in the Kitchen: Food Drying
  • July 7鈥11: Micro:bit Adventures
  • July 7鈥11: Mini Math Explorers

Camps for ages 11鈥14:
