Edison Manaloto, M.D., CPA, CGFM

After earning his bachelor鈥檚 in accounting and master鈥檚 in public administration from the 91快播 in 2006 and 2007, respectively, he pursued an ambitious career in both private and public sector accounting 鈥� working for Deloitte & Touche, the Hyatt Regency Guam, and Guam鈥檚 Office of Finance and Budget.

About five years into his career, he felt inspired to respond to a pressing need in Guam鈥檚 community for medical professionals. He applied for medical school at De La Salle Health Sciences Institute in the Philippines, earning his doctorate in 2015 and completing his residency at the University of Hawaii this past June. 

In the midst of his new pursuit, he found a way to merge it with his former career path. He became a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Governmental Financial Manager, which has allowed him to provide consulting services in fiscal and also health care policy for local government and business entities. He鈥檚 also found an avenue to impact the next generation as adjunct faculty at UOG 鈥� teaching accounting, business law, and public administration. 

In the true embodiment of the Triton motto 鈥� 鈥�Excelsior,鈥� or 鈥渆ver upward鈥� 鈥� Dr. Manaloto is not yet done learning. While working full-time at GRMC, he is taking online classes with Liberty University in Virginia toward a Doctor of Public Administration, which he hopes to complete in the next couple years. 

In the Triton spirit, he is continually reaching for the next level and finding ways to Rise Above and make a valuable and lasting impact on his home island of Guam.
