Instructor of English
Elizabeth Rutun became an English instructor with the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences in August 2020 after having taught a writing course the previous semester as adjunct faculty. She holds bachelor鈥檚 in English literature and historical and political studies from Chaminade University (Hawaii) and a master鈥檚 in English with an emphasis in literature from the 91快播. Her master's thesis was titles "Churuu Nu Waab: An Analysis of Traditional Yapese Dances as Mediators of Change." She taught freshman composition as a graduate student at UOG, has been a tutor with UOG's Upward Bound program, and also previously taught summer school at Yap Catholic High School.聽

Dylan Sablan is the principal of Business and Technology Academy Charter School, the newest high school on Guam. He also chairs the Social Studies Department, where he brings in knowledge and perspectives from his studies at the 91快播 and King鈥檚 College London. His teaching is designed to give high school students a more rigorous and relevant experience in the social sciences, with an emphasis on Asia-Pacific affairs. His master鈥檚 dissertation explored the role that indigenous movements on Guam can play in shaping U.S.-China geopolitical competition, challenging traditional ideas of power in international relations.
